Assistant/Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical pharmacy services to acutely ill patients at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital – Westover Hills
• Deliver interactive didactic course lectures and participate in curriculum development
• Teach within the experiential curriculum and mentor pharmacy students
• Conduct regular scholarly research and professional publications
• Collaborate with departmental faculty to meet accreditation standards and curriculum outcomes
• Perform service to the department, university, and the pharmacy profession

Requirements

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
• Completion of two years of postgraduate residency training in internal medicine, family medicine, pharmacotherapy, or equivalent
• Significant experience in managing common conditions in an acute care setting
• Licensed pharmacist in the state of Texas or eligible for licensure in Texas

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience as a faculty member in a school of pharmacy
• Clinical experience in internal medicine or family medicine
• Board certification in Pharmacotherapy or another applicable specialty
