About the role

Responsibilities

  • Teach ELMSN program content in both didactic and clinical settings
  • Advise students and participate in nursing simulation activities
  • Engage in curriculum development and interprofessional education
  • Oversee clinical adjuncts and manage student placement in clinical agencies
  • Manage required clinical documentation through tracking systems
  • Assist with student and part-time faculty orientation
  • Participate in program, curriculum, and campus committee meetings
  • Support accreditation preparation activities

Requirements

  • Terminal degree in Nursing (PhD, DNP, or EdD)
  • Unencumbered California RN license
  • Minimum of two years of academic instructional experience
  • Clinical experience sufficient to meet Board of Nursing and program needs
  • Computer literacy and experience with Learning Management Systems (e.g., Canvas)
  • Ability to meet health qualifications required for clinical teaching settings

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise in nursing education, including adult learning methodologies and curriculum development
  • Evidence of scholarship, such as peer-reviewed publications, original research, or grant writing
  • Experience with simulation or innovative teaching modalities
  • Professional membership and service in nursing-related organizations
  • Demonstrated experience advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting
