Assistant/Associate Professor of Nursing

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction to Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, and Doctor of Nursing Practice students
• Create innovative curricula utilizing experiential pedagogies and adult learning theory
• Develop, distribute, monitor, and grade student assignments and assessments
• Review and update syllabi and ensure all materials are current on the Canvas learning management system
• Participate in curriculum development, design, implementation, and evaluation
• Fulfill scholarly activity requirements including grant writing, publications, and presentations
• Provide academic advisement and support to students
• Participate in faculty governance, departmental meetings, and university recruitment events

Requirements

• Master's degree in nursing (required); Doctoral degree (preferred)
• Active New York Registered Nurse license
• Specialty certification (required for graduate-level instruction)
• 5 years of collegiate-level teaching experience
• 7 years of clinical experience
• Experience with nursing simulation
• Proficiency in Canvas, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
