Assistant/Associate Professor of Environmental Health Science

Responsibilities

• Teach lower and upper-level environmental health science lecture and laboratory courses, including Environmental Toxicology, Environmental Epidemiology, and Biostatistics
• Participate in curriculum development and contribute to the department’s planning and growth
• Provide academic and career advising to students in the major and hold regular office hours
• Establish and maintain an active undergraduate research program supported by external funding
• Perform regular scholarly research and publication
• Assist with student recruitment and retention efforts
• Provide service to the department, college, community, and profession

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Environmental Health Science or a closely related field
• Ability to teach undergraduate lecture and laboratory courses
• Ability to establish and lead undergraduate research programs
• Proven experience working effectively with diverse student populations and underserved communities
• For Associate Professor rank: At least 3 years of experience as an effective instructor and mentor with an established research agenda
