About the role
Responsibilities
- Deliver undergraduate and interdisciplinary courses in 4th and 5th year design studios, building economics, and urban planning
- Engage in active research and scholarship in architecture or related fields to advance new theories and principles
- Provide academic advising to students regarding curricular, academic, and career matters
- Participate in academic citizenship through service on school and departmental committees
- Contribute to grant-writing, fundraising, and the school's academic life
- Supervise independent study projects and advise terminal projects
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Architecture or a closely related field, or a Master’s degree in Architecture
- Professional Architecture license (or completion of AXP and active pursuit of licensure for Assistant Professor level)
- Prior teaching experience
- Knowledge of the NAAB accreditation process
- Experience with grant writing
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using 3D printing or CNC technology
- Two or more peer-reviewed publications, with at least one as first author
- Expertise in specialized areas such as historic preservation, industrial design, digital manufacturing, community design, healthcare design, campus planning, or design-build
- Recent publication in an academic or professional journal
