About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach OTD program content in both didactic and clinical settings
- Engage in curriculum development, interprofessional education, and simulation
- Advise students and assist with student and part-time faculty orientation
- Conduct research, creative activities, and scholarly work for promotion and rank
- Participate in program, curriculum, and campus committee meetings
- Support accreditation preparation activities and contact clinical agencies
Requirements
- Terminal degree (PP-OTD, PhD, or EdD) from an accredited university
- NBCOT certification as an OTR (Registered Occupational Therapist)
- Current California Occupational Therapist license
- Minimum of 4 years of teaching experience in a doctoral-level occupational therapy program
- Proven experience in curriculum development, research, and supervision of graduate projects
Preferred Qualifications
- Active membership in the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA)
- Familiarity with ACOTE accreditation standards
- 5+ years of experience teaching entry-level occupational therapy content
- Experience mentoring graduate student research or capstone projects
- Demonstrated experience with simulation, AI, VR/AR, or innovative teaching modalities
- Experience advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting
- Experience with online learning management systems (LMS)
- Minimum of four years of clinical practice and experience supervising Fieldwork Level II students
