Assistant/Associate Professor Occupational Therapy (TT)

Responsibilities

• Teach OTD program content in both didactic and clinical settings
• Engage in curriculum development, interprofessional education, and simulation
• Advise students and assist with student and part-time faculty orientation
• Conduct research, creative activities, and scholarly work for promotion and rank
• Participate in program, curriculum, and campus committee meetings
• Support accreditation preparation activities and contact clinical agencies

Requirements

• Terminal degree (PP-OTD, PhD, or EdD) from an accredited university
• NBCOT certification as an OTR (Registered Occupational Therapist)
• Current California Occupational Therapist license
• Minimum of 4 years of teaching experience in a doctoral-level occupational therapy program
• Proven experience in curriculum development, research, and supervision of graduate projects

Preferred Qualifications

• Active membership in the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA)
• Familiarity with ACOTE accreditation standards
• 5+ years of experience teaching entry-level occupational therapy content
• Experience mentoring graduate student research or capstone projects
• Demonstrated experience with simulation, AI, VR/AR, or innovative teaching modalities
• Experience advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting
• Experience with online learning management systems (LMS)
• Minimum of four years of clinical practice and experience supervising Fieldwork Level II students
