About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide guidance, monitoring, and direct clinical supervision to pre-doctoral students within the Department of Community Dental Sciences.
- Serve as a clinical mentor and dentist role model, promoting comprehensive patient care and professionalism.
- Manage and oversee patient care delivered by students, including special needs, urgent, and emergency care.
- Adopt and implement department prevention and treatment philosophies in areas such as operative dentistry, prosthodontics, and basic exodontia.
- Provide direct patient care in complex cases or urgent situations where student results must be expedited or corrected.
- Participate in training and calibration programs to ensure accurate student clinical assessments.
Requirements
- Earned doctorate or a terminal degree in a relevant field.
- Demonstrated potential for teaching excellence.
- Demonstrated potential for conducting high-quality research.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated professional experience in a teaching or academic environment.
