Assistant/Associate/Full Professor Large Animal Surgery

Responsibilities

• Engage in clinical and didactic teaching within equine medicine courses and laboratories
• Serve as the course director for the large animal surgery/equine surgery course
• Participate in curriculum development and the creation of innovative learning resources
• Contribute to committee service, including admissions, curriculum, and research committees
• Develop independent or collaborative research in the field of Large Animal Surgery (tenure-track)
• Promote a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusiveness within the university community

Requirements

• DVM or equivalent degree
• Demonstrated expertise in large animal or equine surgery
• Working knowledge of curricular design and implementation

Preferred Qualifications

• Specialty board certification or eligibility by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (ACVS LA)
• Advanced training in large animal/equine surgery research
• Possession of an MS or PhD
