Assistant/Associate/Full Professor - Equine Practice

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom, clinical, and laboratory instruction for veterinary students, graduate students, interns, and graduate veterinarians
• Conduct creative scholarship and collaborative research activities in equine practice
• Develop innovative teaching and service programs
• Provide medical and surgical services to the Large Animal Teaching Hospital, with a primary emphasis on equine cases
• Participate in after-hours and on-call emergency duties
• Build and maintain strong professional relationships with referring veterinarians
• Participate in state and national outreach, continuing education, and university committees

Requirements

• DVM or equivalent degree
• Clinical competence in medical and surgical management of all large animal species
• Demonstrated emphasis on equine clinical practice

Preferred Qualifications

• Three to four years of postgraduate clinical experience
• Experience in a large animal rotating internship
• Clinical instructor experience within an academic setting
