About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead the collection and analysis of First Destination Survey (FDS) data and generate performance metrics for the Gateway Career Center.
  • Use quantitative and qualitative techniques to identify trends in student career readiness and employer engagement.
  • Serve as a divisional subject matter expert for the Division of Student Life, assisting with survey design and metric interpretation.
  • Develop and automate routine reports and dashboards for divisional leadership using SQL and BI tools.
  • Establish and document data governance protocols to ensure data integrity across various platforms.
  • Manage the maintenance and updates for core platforms including Handshake, Uconnect, and Ellucian CRM.
  • Act as the primary technical liaison between the division and Information Technology Services (ITS).
  • Provide technical support and training to staff on new software and system updates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 3–5 years of experience managing complex technology systems (e.g., Handshake, Symplicity, or Ellucian CRM).
  • Proficiency in SQL and BI/Reporting tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (power user level).
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to translate complex data into "plain English" for stakeholders.
  • Ability to handle confidential student information with a high degree of discretion.
  • Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends to support major events like Career Fairs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Data Science, Higher Education Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience with data visualization and dashboard creation.
