Assistant/Associate Clinical Professor

Responsibilities

• Teach ELMSN program content in both didactic and clinical settings
• Advise students and participate in clinical simulations
• Engage in curriculum development and interprofessional education
• Oversee clinical adjuncts and manage student placements in clinical agencies
• Manage required clinical documentation through tracking systems
• Assist with student and part-time faculty orientation
• Participate in program, curriculum, and campus committee meetings
• Support accreditation preparation activities

Requirements

• MSN in Nursing or a related field
• Current, active, and unencumbered California RN License
• Minimum of two (2) years of nursing work experience in a content specialty area within the last five (5) years
• Eligibility for approval as faculty by the California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN)

Preferred Qualifications

• Terminal degree in Nursing (PhD, DNP, or EdD)
• Minimum of two (2) years of instructional experience in an academic setting
• Knowledge of adult learning methodologies and curriculum development
• Experience using Canvas or other Learning Management Systems (LMS)
• Expertise in simulation or other innovative teaching modalities
• Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in a university setting
