Assistant Apparel Designer

Responsibilities

• Manage product development from initial concept through garment production
• Research emerging trends through market shopping, vintage research, and customer analysis
• Drive big picture trend and mood direction for each season
• Oversee all aspects of product development, including fabric and trim selection
• Edit garment fit on live models to ensure high-quality, aspirational results
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to achieve brand vision

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or junior status working towards a degree
• Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
• Proven technical design skills with an eye for color and impeccable taste
• Ability to identify and interpret relevant fashion trends
• Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills
• Submission of portfolio, resume, and unofficial transcripts required
