Assistant Accounts Manager

Responsibilities

• Review ship-owner financial statements and accounting reports for accuracy and contract compliance
• Manage monthly technical variance reports and vessel-related payments including crew payroll
• Maintain accounting records in line with BSM policies and ensure ledger reconciliations
• Monitor management accounting systems to provide cost and financial information for evaluation
• Forecast weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual cash flows
• Control timely execution of payments and provide analytical reporting to management
• Coordinate the development and submission of tax and financial statements
• Participate in internal and external audits and implement corrective actions
• Manage, coach, and develop subordinate staff through performance management and training

Requirements

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent
• 8-10 years of work experience, ideally in Ship Management
• Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems
• Knowledge of Maritime Accounting legislation and legal frameworks
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare projections
• Fluency in English
• Strong people management and interpersonal skills
