Assistant Accountant

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily financial transaction processes to ensure accurate recording of journal entries, general ledger, and financial statements
• Develop, implement, and maintain accounting systems including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, and Revenue Reconciliation
• Balance books and prepare profit and loss, cash flow, income, and balance sheet statements
• Review and interpret financial reporting requirements, rules, and regulations
• Provide accurate records of assets, liabilities, and other financial transactions
• Assist in the setup of processes and procedures to capture, track, and report revenue and expense items in accordance with company policies
• Support the accuracy and compliance of billing information in alignment with U.S. GAAP and other accounting regulations
• Act as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience and interact internally to exchange financial information

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline
• Minimum of 2 years of related accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of accounting procedures and administration
• Proven ability to identify key issues and patterns from partial or conflicting data
• Ability to use initiative to handle a wide variety of non-routine situations and conflicts
