Assistant Academic Coach

Responsibilities

• Manage a student caseload to encourage the achievement of educational goals through self-assessment and reflection
• Remove barriers to student enrollment and progression by ensuring access to necessary programs and services
• Connect students to relevant campus and community resources to support graduation success
• Assist in the development and coordination of recruiting, outreach, and engagement programming
• Implement strategies related to Student Excellence to increase retention and graduation rates
• Maintain detailed and comprehensive student records and manage large amounts of data

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
• Experience or academic background in student personnel services, adult learning & development, counseling, guidance, education, or a related field
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint)
• Strong public speaking and presentation skills
• Demonstrated data management and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a related field of study
• Experience in advising, mentoring, tutoring, or student programming within an educational setting
• Experience working directly with student populations and recruitment efforts
• Experience using early alert or advising systems powered by predictive analytics
