About the role

Responsibilities

  • Identify and track early-stage business development opportunities, including M&A, private equity, IPOs, and restructuring signals.
  • Monitor tracked opportunities continuously to ensure timely updates and escalation of material developments.
  • Maintain structured trackers and monitoring tools to meet stakeholder requirements.
  • Develop and refine repeatable asset-tracking methodologies and quality control processes.
  • Synthesize complex market information into clear, actionable insights and decision-ready formats like dashboards and summaries.
  • Leverage AI-enabled tools and market intelligence databases to streamline research workflows.

Requirements

  • Master's degree from a reputed institute.
  • 8+ years of experience in legal, financial, or business research within a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Proficiency in English (written and oral) with the ability to develop client-facing documentation.
  • Advanced Excel skills for data analysis, trackers, and visualization.
  • Hands-on experience with market intelligence tools such as Mergermarket, CoStar, Infralogic, or AlphaSense.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and extract relevant insights.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting UK or international stakeholders.
  • Exposure to transaction-focused or business development-oriented research.
  • Interest in technology-enabled research, including AI-based tools and workflow automation.
