Asset Protection Specialist

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in dispensary guests with warmth and professionalism while upholding compliance standards
• Maintain a visible, approachable security presence to deter incidents and ensure safety
• Monitor store entry/exit and site perimeters; conduct visual inspections per SOPs
• De-escalate situations with empathy and clear communication
• Respond to safety, security, and compliance incidents appropriately and urgently
• Support emergency procedures including fire, evacuation, or weather response
• Escort customers and visitors, assist with guest flow, and support store operations
• Share insights on guest interactions and security risks with leadership and team members
• Help train new Asset Protection Specialists on warm, professional, compliant behavior

Requirements

• At least one year of customer-facing or concierge experience strongly preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems and compliance technology preferred
• Security, military, or law enforcement experience is a plus
• Ability to work varying shifts including mornings, days, nights, and weekends
• Reliable, responsible attendance
• Must pass all required background checks and state-specific cannabis employment requirements
• Valid driver’s license or state ID
• Must be 21 years or older and meet all state-specific cannabis employment requirements
• Ability to remain alert and responsive during extended periods
• Comfortable standing or walking for extended periods, both indoors and outdoors
• Ability to move inventory and materials weighing up to 30 pounds
• Friendly, professional demeanor with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to remain calm and empathetic in stressful situations
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Understanding of applicable cannabis laws, safety regulations, and HIPAA requirements
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and ability to handle confidential information
