Asset Protection Officer

Responsibilities

• Ensure associates, vendors, and visitors follow safety and security policies on campus
• Conduct regular roves on foot or by motor vehicle to detect and respond to security issues
• Monitor compliance with state and local regulations regarding fire safety and environmental protection
• Act as a first responder to campus safety and medical incidents
• Identify and assess incidents related to life safety and internal theft
• Conduct surveillance of buildings and grounds using CCTV and other electronic systems
• Accurately document and submit reports regarding campus safety and security incidents
• Assist in the completion of campus inspections and investigations
• Maintain productive business relationships and communicate with local law enforcement or emergency responders

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• 1-3 years of security or safety experience preferred
• 1-3 years of customer service experience preferred
• First Aid, CPR, and AED certification (must be certified annually)
• Basic computer skills, including MS Office and access control software
• Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 25 lbs and lift/drag up to 105 lbs
• Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs or ladders for extended periods
• Ability to work in inclement weather and during weekends or holidays
