Asset Management Specialist

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end customer asset lifecycle, including deployment, field swaps, RMA, and end-of-life processes.
• Stand up the RMA process for field-defective hardware and drive root-cause analysis with vendors.
• Guide purchasing decisions for customer peripherals based on field failure data.
• Complete the migration from Hexnode to Esper and manage device transition states.
• Build troubleshooting playbooks for Tier 1 and Tier 2 support teams.
• Participate in fleet-wide hardware refreshes and configuration changes.
• Act as a key stakeholder in the design of fleet management tooling and CMDB.

Requirements

• 3-4 years of experience in IT asset management, hardware support engineering, MDM administration, or field operations.
• Hands-on experience with RMA workflows, reverse logistics, and asset data hygiene.
• Strong systems thinking and ability to document repeatable processes.
• Excellent technical writing skills for creating troubleshooting playbooks.
• Ability to work effectively alongside engineering teams.
• Experience partnering with customer-facing organizations to improve operational efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in POS, retail hardware, or industries with deployed customer-owned devices.
• Experience maintaining a Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
• Familiarity with Salesforce as a system of record.
• Ability to write light scripts or SQL for data investigation.
• Experience being the first person in a new functional role.
