Asset Management Associate

Responsibilities

• Counsel fund sponsors and investment advisers on regulatory and transactional matters arising under the Investment Company Act of 1940, the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, and applicable state securities laws
• Draft and negotiate offering documents, partnership and operating agreements, advisory contracts, and compliance policies
• Advise on governance, disclosure, and operational issues regarding the day-to-day management of investment products
• Manage the formation, structuring, and ongoing regulatory compliance for mutual funds, ETFs, private investment funds, and registered investment advisers
• Interact directly with a diverse roster of clients, fund boards, and regulatory bodies

Requirements

• 2–5 years of legal experience, specifically within asset management or securities law
• Excellent legal writing and strong analytical skills
• Superior academic credentials
• Strong verbal and interpersonal skills for client and regulatory interaction
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment
