Asset Based Finance Associate

Responsibilities

• Conduct due diligence on investment opportunities, including asset portfolios, asset-based lending, and structured debt
• Analyze and underwrite potential investments by reviewing historical performance and developing cash flow projection models
• Model underlying asset cash flows and create sensitivity and comparable analyses
• Assist in preparing investment committee memos and diligence memos
• Assess non-economic and legal documentation risks in term sheets and credit agreements
• Monitor positions and perform quarterly valuations of investments
• Interface and negotiate with external counterparties

Requirements

• 2-4 years of Finance or Investment Banking experience in Structured Finance or Financial Institutions
• Experience underwriting and structuring consumer, residential, or commercial whole loan pools and asset-backed securitizations
• Superior valuation, modeling, and Excel skills
• Strong accounting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to multi-task in a high-volume environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior buyside experience or securitization investment banking experience
• Proficiency in Intex, VBA, Collateral Analysis System (CAS), and Snowflake/SQL
