Assessment and Reporting Manager

Responsibilities

• Provide analytical leadership across library departments, focusing on assessment, analytics, and reporting.
• Lead data collection, analysis, and visualization to inform strategic decision-making and monitor strategic plan metrics.
• Design and implement collaborative assessment projects using quantitative and qualitative methods, including internal and external surveys.
• Manage day-to-day budget and payroll operations, including financial tracking and institutional financial reporting.
• Develop and maintain spreadsheets, financial models, dashboards, and reporting systems to ensure data integrity.
• Supervise, coach, and evaluate departmental staff while fostering professional development.
• Champion the adoption of AI-enabled tools and advanced analytics to enhance reporting efficiency.
• Deliver training to staff and department heads on data tools, reporting practices, and data literacy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• 5-8 years of experience in data coordination, assessment, or library operations (preferably in an academic environment).
• Proven supervisory experience, including managing staff and delegating tasks.
• Proficiency with databases, reporting systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel skills required).
• Experience with data visualization and analytics tools such as Tableau, Oracle Analytics (Alma), Google Analytics, or Qualtrics.
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of direct supervisory experience.
• Background in academic libraries or higher education environments.
• Experience designing and completing professional surveys (e.g., ACRL, ARL).
• Experience improving organizational processes through the implementation of new technologies.
