Responsibilities

• Perform precise assembly of complex electro-mechanical components and sub-assemblies according to engineering drawings
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment for assembly tasks
• Conduct quality checks and inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications
• Troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues and implement corrective actions
• Operate light machining equipment such as lathes, milling machines, and drills
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models
• Set up and adjust machining parameters including feeds, speeds, and tool selection
• Inspect machined parts for accuracy and dimensions using precision measuring instruments
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize manufacturing processes

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3-5 years of experience in electro-mechanical assembly
• Experience in defense, aerospace, or high-tech manufacturing preferred
• Proven experience operating light machining equipment
• Proficiency in reading engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical certification or associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or Machining Technology
