About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform production assembly operations on electronic and mechanical assemblies including modules, boards, panels, and cables
- Work from diagrams, drawings, and blueprints to make initial layouts using hand and power tools
- Conduct continuity checks, quality inspections, and serviceability tests using specified test equipment
- Disassemble, modify, rework, and reassemble experimental or prototype assemblies
- Position and align subassemblies in jigs or fixtures using measuring instruments
- Complete work package documentation in accordance with FAA and repair station manuals
- Submit completed work to Quality Assurance for final inspection and airworthiness certification
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- At least 8 years of experience in assembly, mechanical, electrical, or aircraft structures
- Advanced proficiency in riveting and installation of related hardware
- Ability to use precision instruments and air-powered hand tools
- Ability to read work orders, blueprints, and technical specifications
- Ability to fabricate parts and repair aircraft structures
- Ability to wear a respirator per OSHA regulations
- Ability to work flexible hours and different shifts
Preferred Qualifications
- A&P certification
- Mechanical or electrical experience
- Aircraft structures experience
