Assembly Technician

Responsibilities

• Produce magnetic bearing assemblies, high speed electric motors, and drive panels
• Utilize hand tools, epoxies, and adhesives to produce electro-mechanical subassemblies
• Strip, crimp, solder, and terminate wires according to industry standards
• Perform electrical testing on components, subassemblies, and assemblies
• Use machines for heating, pressing, and balancing parts
• Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to safety excellence standards

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Ability to read and follow assembly instructions, blueprints, and wiring diagrams
• Proficiency with hand tools such as screwdrivers and pliers
• Basic computer skills, including experience with email, Excel, and Word
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to work with various epoxies and handle metals including aluminum, copper, bronze, and steel

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ year of assembly experience in a light industrial setting
