About the role
Responsibilities
- Precision assembly of Rocket Engines hardware based on written and verbal instructions
- Assembly of complex engine assemblies using work orders, drawings, and CAD models
- Build planning, inventory kit organization, and shortage identification
- Precision cleaning of hardware
- Identification of discrepancies and authoring of nonconformance reports
- Documentation of build steps for new and recurring assembly sequences
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical or manufacturing environments
- 2+ years of experience in precision assembly of complex engine systems or similar hardware
- Detailed understanding of fittings, threads, inserts, and seals
- Experience with Oxygen, Cryogenic, and FOD intolerant service components
- Familiarity with operating pressurized systems and proof testing flight hardware
- Ability to work second shift and weekends as needed
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and stand for extended periods
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
- Detailed understanding of GTAW and laser welding processes and procedures
