Assembly Technician - Engines

Responsibilities

• Precision assembly of Rocket Engines hardware based on written and verbal instructions
• Assembly of complex engine assemblies using work orders, drawings, and CAD models
• Build planning, inventory kit organization, and shortage identification
• Precision cleaning of hardware
• Identification of discrepancies and authoring of nonconformance reports
• Documentation of build steps for new and recurring assembly sequences

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in mechanical or manufacturing environments
• 2+ years of experience in precision assembly of complex engine systems or similar hardware
• Detailed understanding of fittings, threads, inserts, and seals
• Experience with Oxygen, Cryogenic, and FOD intolerant service components
• Familiarity with operating pressurized systems and proof testing flight hardware
• Ability to work second shift and weekends as needed
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and stand for extended periods
• Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

• Detailed understanding of GTAW and laser welding processes and procedures
