Assembly Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform production assembly operations on electronic and mechanical assemblies including modules, boards, panels, and cables
• Work from diagrams, drawings, and blueprints to make initial layouts and use hand/power tools
• Conduct continuity checks and quality inspections on work in process
• Disassemble, modify, rework, and test experimental or prototype assemblies
• Position and align subassemblies in jigs or fixtures using measuring instruments
• Perform serviceability tests utilizing technical manual specified equipment
• Complete work package documentation required by FAA and repair station manuals

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in assembly, mechanical, electrical, or aircraft structures
• Aviation experience in either Avionics or Flight Controls is required
• Proficiency in riveting, hardware installation, and usage of precision instruments
• Ability to read work orders, blueprints, and technical specifications
• Ability to wear a respirator as per OSHA regulations
• Ability to pass random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations

Preferred Qualifications

• A&P certification
• Mechanical or electrical experience
• Aircraft structures experience
