About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform production assembly operations on electronic and mechanical assemblies including modules, boards, panels, and cables
- Work from diagrams, drawings, and blueprints to make initial layouts and use hand/power tools
- Conduct continuity checks, quality inspections, and serviceability tests using specified test equipment
- Position and align subassemblies in jigs or fixtures using measuring instruments
- Disassemble, modify, rework, and reassemble experimental or prototype assemblies
- Complete work package documentation in accordance with FAA and repair station manuals
- Follow approved assembly procedures for aircraft structures and OEM technical data
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- 2-4 years of experience in assembly, mechanical, electrical, or aircraft structures
- Proficiency in riveting, hardware installation, and usage of precision instruments
- Ability to read work orders, blueprints, and technical specifications
- Ability to fabricate parts and use air-powered hand tools
- Ability to wear a respirator as per OSHA regulations
- Ability to pass random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations
Preferred Qualifications
- A&P certification
- Mechanical or electrical experience
- Experience with aircraft structures
