Assembly Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform production assembly operations on electronic and mechanical assemblies including modules, boards, panels, and cables
• Work from diagrams, drawings, and blueprints to make initial layouts and use hand/power tools
• Conduct continuity checks, quality inspections, and serviceability tests using specified test equipment
• Position and align subassemblies in jigs or fixtures using measuring instruments
• Disassemble, modify, rework, and reassemble experimental or prototype assemblies
• Complete work package documentation in accordance with FAA and repair station manuals
• Follow approved assembly procedures for aircraft structures and OEM technical data

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• 2-4 years of experience in assembly, mechanical, electrical, or aircraft structures
• Proficiency in riveting, hardware installation, and usage of precision instruments
• Ability to read work orders, blueprints, and technical specifications
• Ability to fabricate parts and use air-powered hand tools
• Ability to wear a respirator as per OSHA regulations
• Ability to pass random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations

Preferred Qualifications

• A&P certification
• Mechanical or electrical experience
• Experience with aircraft structures
