Assembly Technician

Responsibilities

• Bolt together wall panels, steel columns, roof racks, light fixtures, and cable trays
• Use wrenches, bridge/overhead cranes, forklifts, and power tools for assembly
• Apply gaskets, caulking, and metal panel joints for weatherproofing
• Attach large parts to metal frames and install metal siding and roofing
• Install GPU racks and electrical components inside modular buildings
• Prepare kitting and hardware for specific assembly steps
• Review work orders to ensure correct parts and materials are available
• Maintain workspace organization and apply company labeling

Requirements

• Experience with hand and power tools (wrenches, impact guns, drills)
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to assemble large parts
• Ability to lift, lower, and push materials up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, and bend for full shifts
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to read and follow drawings and schematics
• Ability to pass a background check and participate in drug/alcohol programs

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in heavy manufacturing or industrial assembly environments
• Experience operating bridge/overhead cranes or forklifts
• Forklift certification
• Familiarity with ERP software (Infor Visual, Acumatica, etc.)
• Proficiency in MS Office or Google Workspace
• Knowledge of ISO 9001
• Electro-mechanical experience
