About the role
Responsibilities
- Manufacture a wide variety of new and rebuilt turbo machinery equipment
- Receive, store, and issue materials, parts, and equipment in the storeroom
- Perform shipping and receiving operations including wrapping, packing, weighing, and crating
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, hoists, hand trucks, and overhead cranes
- Conduct inventory counts and process full part inspections
- Adhere to production schedules and maintain a clean, organized workspace
- Work with pressure containing vessels and testing equipment
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 3+ years of experience in a mechanical, maintenance, or assembly field
- Proficiency with torque wrenches, power tools, and hand tools
- Experience using precision measuring equipment like calipers and micrometers
- Ability to read mechanical drawings
- Experience with turning and milling machine operation
- Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or reach trucks
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to work in a union environment and flexibility to work overtime
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree from a technical school in mechanical assembly, automotive, or industrial machining
- Experience with ERP systems or SAP
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Excel, and Word
