Assembly Technician

Responsibilities

• Manufacture a wide variety of new and rebuilt turbo machinery equipment
• Receive, store, and issue materials, parts, and equipment in the storeroom
• Perform shipping and receiving operations including wrapping, packing, weighing, and crating
• Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, hoists, hand trucks, and overhead cranes
• Conduct inventory counts and process full part inspections
• Adhere to production schedules and maintain a clean, organized workspace
• Work with pressure containing vessels and testing equipment

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 3+ years of experience in a mechanical, maintenance, or assembly field
• Proficiency with torque wrenches, power tools, and hand tools
• Experience using precision measuring equipment like calipers and micrometers
• Ability to read mechanical drawings
• Experience with turning and milling machine operation
• Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or reach trucks
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to work in a union environment and flexibility to work overtime

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree from a technical school in mechanical assembly, automotive, or industrial machining
• Experience with ERP systems or SAP
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Excel, and Word
