Assembly Support Technician

Responsibilities

• Provide direct shopfloor support to Assembly Operators to ensure high-quality product delivery and efficient workflows
• Manage consumable stock, including updating systems, ordering, and issuing materials to operators
• Ensure all required work order components are available at workstations using KANBAN systems
• Update order tracking systems (Layered WIP) to reflect the movement of assembled orders
• Assist with equipment set-ups, changeovers, and maintaining line readiness
• Support operators with quality checks, documentation, and adherence to manufacturing tolerances
• Promote a safe working environment by identifying hazards and enforcing safe working practices
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement regarding productivity, quality, and 5S implementation

Requirements

• Proven experience working in a manufacturing or assembly environment
• Strong understanding of quality standards and precision measurements (both metric and imperial)
• Practical understanding of 5S methodologies
• Basic mechanical awareness
• High attention to detail and a proactive, methodical approach to tasks
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative team-player mindset
• A safety-first attitude and commitment to maintaining an organized workspace
