Assembly & Prototyping Technician

About the Company

Monumental is automating on-site construction with robotics and software. Our mission is to make construction software-defined and autonomous, creating a future where bespoke buildings are constructed with minimal labour.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble production hardware including end-effectors, autonomous ground vehicles, and robotic cranes
• Maintain the existing fleet of robots through regular health checks and maintenance
• Build testing rigs in the office and occasionally assist with robot operations on construction sites
• Improve designs for small-series production by providing DFM and DFA feedback to the engineering team
• Promote and maintain a safe, clean, and organized working environment

Requirements

• Ability to sequence and build assemblies with minimal instructions or documentation
• Hands-on experience assembling parts and working with metals and metal tools (e.g., angle grinders)
• Ability to read a bill of materials and organize off-the-shelf components
• High attention to detail for quality spot checks and error detection
• Understanding of technical procedures such as bolt selection and tightening torques
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with engineers on design improvements
• Must be based in the Netherlands and able to work onsite in Amsterdam five days a week
