Assembly Mechanic-Composite Fabrication

Responsibilities

• Perform precision assembly, drilling, reaming, countersinking, and honing of aircraft and spacecraft structures
• Set up and operate various machinery, including shot peen equipment, ream fixtures, and overhead cranes
• Assemble production parts and install aircraft equipment, power plant systems, or electrical/electronic components
• Execute skilled assembly operations such as shimming, fitting, trimming, and aligning major assemblies
• Install, troubleshoot, and adjust wire bundles, lighting circuits, and fuel systems
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment like forklifts and tugs to support production

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• 1+ years of experience operating equipment requiring continuous monitoring
• 1+ years of experience using hand tools and/or hand-held power tools
• Must meet Export Control compliance requirements (US Person status required)
• Ability to work any assigned shift

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in composites fabrication, soldering, or autoclave operations
• Experience working specifically with composite manufacturing
• Experience applying lean manufacturing principles
