About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct maintenance engineering support for Engines and Axles Assembly platforms on the 2nd shift (3:00pm - 11:00pm).
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures for existing and future equipment.
  • Perform daily troubleshooting for tooling and equipment breakdowns to ensure production continuity.
  • Develop and implement assembly process methods and tooling for product changes.
  • Review station-level drawings and BOMs to develop recommended spare parts lists.
  • Procure equipment by collaborating with purchasing departments and external vendors.
  • Manage equipment certification for gages, torque guns, and leak testers.
  • Act as a technical coach for assemblers and supervisors and provide occasional supervision to skilled trades.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology preferred).
  • High level of analytical ability to solve complex technical problems.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with a diverse workforce.
  • Proficiency with PC hardware and commercially available software (e.g., Windows).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience in an assembly environment.
  • At least one year of project management or supervisory experience.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD LT.
  • Familiarity with pressing operations, including Kistler and Promess hardware.
  • Experience programming and troubleshooting torque tooling.
