Assembly, Integration, and Test Intern

Responsibilities

• Work on an interdisciplinary team to design, build, and test satellite hardware and software
• Partner with Electrical, Mechanical, RF, and Propulsion engineering teams to develop assembly and integration test plans and procedures
• Learn to use various test equipment and instruments, including thermal chambers, vibration tables, DAQs, and oscilloscopes, to execute test plans
• Coordinate assembly, integration, and environmental test efforts

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a four-year degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent technical degree
• A passion for hardware development and hands-on design in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with spacecraft systems and operations
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Strong communication skills
• Must be onsite at our San Francisco headquarters 5 days a week
• U.S. Citizenship, Lawful Permanent Residency, or Refugee/Asylee Status required

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in designing, building, and testing hardware
• Experience writing Python code to interface with test equipment, process large datasets, or visualize data
• Experience using CAD software
• Direct electrical or mechanical design experience
• Demonstrated ability to debug hardware and software problems under time pressure
