Assembly Engineer

Responsibilities

• Ensure production lines run according to target cycle times and resolve process issues.
• Lead continuous improvement activities to reduce manufacturing costs.
• Maintain and update technical documentation, including PFMEA, Work Instructions (WI), and mistake-proofing protocols.
• Manage new project launches, ensuring requirements for CMK, cycle time, poka-yoke, and operator training are met.
• Collaborate with Regional Industrial Engineering on machine concepts, layouts, and equipment procurement.
• Participate in the pre- and final acceptance of new equipment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a process engineer within the automotive assembly industry.
• Proven expertise in assembly processes, specifically press-to-fit and torque tightening.
• Strong knowledge of mistake-proofing (poka-yoke) and tool/fixture design.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct experience or technical know-how in shock absorber production processes.
