About the role
Responsibilities
- Support and execute the refurbishment, tracking, and redeployment of used capital equipment across multiple plants and programs.
- Evaluate equipment condition and refurbishment scope to ensure technical compatibility and cost-effective reuse.
- Manage multiple concurrent redeployment projects, coordinating teardowns, refurbishment, shipping, and reintegration.
- Coordinate logistics, including plant-to-plant shipping, vendor transfers, and customs/border documentation for cross-border movements.
- Review and align refurbishment quotes with internal financial expectations and capital accounting concepts.
- Maintain and improve asset databases to track equipment status, costs, and program assignments.
- Develop and implement standard procedures for equipment decommissioning and redeployment.
- Act as the single point of contact for reuse-related issues, communicating strategies and savings to senior leadership.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of industrial automation and manufacturing equipment (robots, PLCs, control panels, safety systems, etc.).
- Experience working with OEMs and integrators (e.g., FANUC) on technical specifications and refurbishment scopes.
- Proven project management skills with the ability to track milestones, risks, and dependencies.
- Experience in logistics coordination, including an understanding of customs and shipping documentation.
- Financial and commercial acumen, including experience with purchase orders and capital asset management.
- Advanced data management skills, specifically with Excel and structured reporting tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in manufacturing engineering, maintenance leadership, or capital project execution.
- Exposure to multi-plant or global manufacturing operations.
- Background in continuous improvement, Lean manufacturing, or capital efficiency initiatives.
- Familiarity with Power BI, Power Platform, and Microsoft 365 tools for automated reporting.
