About the role
Responsibilities
- Assemble and test optical systems and sub-assemblies to precise specifications
- Prepare components and hardware, including painting, alodine, priming, and cleaning
- Assemble components following routers, drawings, and written procedures
- Align systems and assemblies to meet technical specifications
- Perform in-process testing, including basic interferometry and open optical testing
- Complete processing and final testing documentation with supervision
- Prepare completed assemblies for customer shipment
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-2 years of industrial experience
- Ability to read blueprints
- Proficiency in Algebra and Basic Trigonometry
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work a weekend night shift (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 4:00 PM to 5:00 AM)
- Ability to work in a cleanroom environment (Class 1000 or 10000)
Preferred Qualifications
- DMAIC yellow belt training
- Experience with optical testing equipment
