Assembly & Components Engineer – Manufacturing Engineering Extended Enterprise

Responsibilities

• Lead the industrialization of new components and assembly modifications, ensuring compliance with quality, cost, and schedule requirements.
• Act as the primary technical and industrial focal point for supplier manufacturing topics, interfacing between Procurement, Design, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering.
• Ensure configuration management and technical consistency for all subcontracted components.
• Assess supplier industrial capabilities, including process validation, capacity, and manufacturing flow robustness.
• Evaluate costing and workload estimations to support RFPs and make/buy decisions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives at supplier sites to enhance productivity and reduce non-conformities.
• Coordinate Material Review Board (MRB) activities and support the maintenance of RP3 certification.

Requirements

• Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Aeronautical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Proven experience in metallic manufacturing, composite processes, or assembly manufacturing.
• Direct experience working with suppliers in a quality, industrialization, or manufacturing engineering capacity.
• Strong ability to lead projects autonomously and coordinate cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency with industrial tools such as SAP, Demat, or SNT.
• Fluency in both English and Spanish (written and spoken).
• Willingness to travel internationally to support supplier development and offset projects.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with industrial transfer or offset projects.
• Exposure to MRB delegation or non-conformance management processes.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
