Assembly

Responsibilities

• Apply, align, attach, insert, and fasten various commodities, components, parts, sub-assemblies, or units to chassis in the required order and sequence
• Work from engineering specifications, including work instructions, sketches, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and process sheets
• Perform necessary adjustments as units progress down the assembly line
• Visually check parts and entire assemblies for completeness, function, operation, and appearance
• Record defects that require off-line or on-line corrections and report improper equipment operation or faulty parts to supervision
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area and equipment
• Follow all prescribed safety rules and regulations
• Assist in the development of assembly practices and procedures

Requirements
