Assembly and Mechanical Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead optical engine and system module assembly using automation and tooling designs
• Support device packaging RnD and NPI with mechanical design, drawing, and thermal modelling
• Support device testing automation and data analysis through software development or scripts
• Collaborate with RnD to negotiate assembly requirements and mechanical control outlines
• Work with OSATs to support NPI and volume production with technical SOW drafting
• Act as technical project manager for owned projects
• Provide DFM, DFR, and DFT inputs for device packaging and assembly
• Manage documentation, including ECN and PCN initiation
• Audit contract manufacturers and suppliers
• Build and grow the Operation Process Team worldwide

Requirements

• Mechanical engineering degree with experience in optical module or Lidar assembly
• Master or Ph.D. degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of optical sensors and optical device packaging processes
• Expertise in mechanical drawings using SolidWorks
• Proficiency in mechanical and thermal simulation
• Proven project management capability
• Experience working with foundries, OSATs, and contract manufacturers

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge or work experience with PCBA
• Experience with microelectronic and optical devices packaging
• Understanding of Silicon Photonics
• Experience with FMEA, failure analysis, and 8D reports
• Knowledge of Lidar technologies
