About the role

Responsibilities

  • Weld components in vertical, horizontal, flat, and overhead positions using various techniques
  • Plan and lay out work based on blueprints, drawings, and written specifications
  • Install and connect hydraulic controls, pumps, rams, and other system elements
  • Mount and connect engines, gearboxes, axles, and other power components
  • Set up and adjust welding equipment and use hand/power tools of the trade
  • Detect and report defective materials or unusual operating conditions to the supervisor
  • Maintain a clean assembly area and follow all prescribed safety regulations
  • Maintain accurate work-related records and reports

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Proven ability to read, write, and comprehend English
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, drawings, and schematics
  • Ability to pass a welding proficiency test
  • Knowledge of mechanical components and their ideal operation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years of experience as a welder
  • Experience with MFG Pro
  • Basic understanding of troubleshooting principles
