Assembler

Responsibilities

• Disassemble and reassemble rolls according to customer specifications and OEM standards
• Read and interpret production schedules, job router cards, blueprints, and technical documents
• Document all disassembly and assembly operations and create detailed parts lists for each job
• Locate and retrieve rolls using overhead cranes and various material handling equipment
• Visually inspect all parts for abnormalities and document findings
• Create incoming inspection reports and sketches of general assemblies to assist in reassembly
• Utilize precision measurement equipment including micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators
• Maintain a safe working environment by following all established operating procedures

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency
• Ability to read, write, and understand English for technical documentation
• Proficiency in reading mechanical blueprints and interpreting technical documents
• Strong mathematical skills, including accurate addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, and stooping for extended periods
• Manual dexterity to manipulate small objects and tools
