About the role
Responsibilities
- Assemble electronic components, subassemblies, and modules using samples, visual aids, prints, and routing instructions
- Use solder, fasteners, and adhesives to build up electronic assemblies
- Perform mechanical assembly operations and electronic tasks such as wire termination and installation of wire harnesses, relays, and capacitors
- Conduct bonding and honing processes, including sanding, polishing, and grit blasting, to prepare parts for installation
- Verify results to ensure conformance with requirements and perform necessary rework
- Utilize standard measuring tools and machine shop equipment to maintain product integrity
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2-4 years of experience working as an assembler
- 2 years of soldering experience (JStandard)
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, process sheets, prints, and route cards
- Proficiency with hand tools (cutters, pliers, screwdrivers) and measurement tools (scales, micrometers, calipers)
- Knowledge of machine shop equipment such as drill presses, lathes, and Bridgeport machines
- Ability to use a microscope for extended periods during a shift
- US Citizenship is required due to contractual requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a defense, aerospace, or military manufacturing environment, specifically with antenna products
- Current JCERT soldering certification
- Ability to produce fixturing for prototype and pre-production applications
