Assembler II

Responsibilities

• Assemble fabricated parts, components, or units at floor stations using hand, air, and power tools
• Test and calibrate parts and mechanisms to ensure they meet product specifications and tolerances
• Read and interpret shop orders and follow oral and written instructions in English
• Set work priorities to meet production goals and maintain quality standards (QA/QC)
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace, including following housekeeping and hazardous waste disposal procedures
• Identify and repair units that fail tests or do not meet required tolerance levels

Requirements

• 1-3 years of related assembly or manufacturing experience
• Ability to read and use English and Metric tape measures and other measuring devices
• Proficiency in using various hand and power tools
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 lbs without assistance
• Ability to stand at a workstation for eight hours a day and work in various physical positions (squatting, kneeling, bending)
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment that may include loud noise, dust, and temperatures exceeding 100 degrees
