About the role
Responsibilities
- Install various vehicle interior and exterior components and hardware according to technical specifications
- Assemble subassemblies such as doors, seats, instrument control panels, and steering columns using bolts, screws, and clips
- Seal joints and seams using a caulking gun
- Fasten trim components including seats, door paneling, headliners, carpeting, and molding into position
- Position parts and subassemblies accurately using templates or by reading measurements
- Use hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools to assemble units at floor stations
Requirements
- Ability to read and use linear and other measuring devices
- Proficiency in using pneumatic and power tools, such as drills and screw guns
- General knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards
- Ability to stand at a workstation for ten hours a day
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 40 lbs without assistance
- Ability to work in noisy and dusty conditions and from various positions (squatting, kneeling, bending)
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of experience in a related manufacturing environment
