About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform assembly, welding, soldering, and x-ray operations on medical devices such as pacemakers and ICDs
- Use microscopes and precision tools to assemble, bond, and coat medical device components
- Conduct visual inspections and use computerized test equipment to locate and correct defects
- Perform casting and coating functions, including repairing bubbles or voids using specialized tools
- Kit, assemble, and package devices and accessories while ensuring documentation accuracy
- Maintain compliance with FDA regulations, Quality Management Systems (QMS), and company policies
- Work within a clean room environment following strict gowning and particle-free protocols
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 6+ months of relevant experience in the assembly of digital/analog circuitry, devices, or components
- Demonstrated manual dexterity and strong hand-eye coordination
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
- Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and verbal communication)
- Ability to pass a mandatory reading comprehension pre-employment examination
- Ability to work regularly scheduled overtime
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working in an air-conditioned clean room manufacturing environment
- Formal training in assembly techniques for bio-instruments or bio-devices
- Experience working within a large, matrixed enterprise or cross-division business unit
