Assembler I - Sheet Metal Worker

Responsibilities

• Assemble units, exhaust fans, house doors, and damper hoods according to job orders
• Smooth burred surfaces using files and grinders
• Lay and attach metal or wood flooring and coverings
• Apply primer, paint, and caulk as required
• Perform close-up requirements and other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 3-6 months of related experience and/or training
• Ability to read and understand structural drawings
• Basic math, reading, and writing skills
• Knowledge of hand tools and the ability to use a tape measure
• Ability to operate a forklift
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using pneumatic or hydraulic hand tools
• Experience operating an air-assisted paint gun
• Knowledge of different types of flooring and metal gauging
