Assembler I

Responsibilities

• Install various non-electrical vehicle interior and exterior components and hardware
• Fasten parts together to form subassemblies such as doors, seats, and instrument panels
• Use hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools to assemble units according to specifications
• Position parts and subassemblies using templates or by reading measurements
• Seal joints and seams using a caulking gun
• Fasten trim including seat panels, headliners, carpeting, and molding into position

Requirements

• Ability to read and use linear and other measuring devices
• Proficiency with pneumatic and power tools such as drills and screw guns
• General knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 lbs without assistance
• Ability to stand at a workstation for ten hours a day
• Ability to work in noisy and dusty conditions and from various squatting, kneeling, or bending positions

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of experience in a related manufacturing environment
