About the role
Responsibilities
- Install various non-electrical vehicle interior and exterior components and hardware
- Fasten parts together to form subassemblies such as doors, seats, and instrument panels
- Use hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools to assemble units according to specifications
- Position parts and subassemblies using templates or by reading measurements
- Seal joints and seams using a caulking gun
- Fasten trim including seat panels, headliners, carpeting, and molding into position
Requirements
- Ability to read and use linear and other measuring devices
- Proficiency with pneumatic and power tools such as drills and screw guns
- General knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 lbs without assistance
- Ability to stand at a workstation for ten hours a day
- Ability to work in noisy and dusty conditions and from various squatting, kneeling, or bending positions
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of experience in a related manufacturing environment
