Assembler I

Responsibilities

• Assemble component parts into completed subassemblies, assemblies, or completed units following standard work instructions
• Inspect parts and completed units using visual inspection, gages, tape measures, calipers, or other inspection equipment
• Perform end-of-line product checks and necessary repairs
• Communicate with leads and supervisors regarding upstream changes to ensure products meet specifications
• Assist assembly groups with problem-solving and recommend improvements to increase first-pass yield

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 1-2 years of production assembly experience
• Basic reading and writing skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, or sit for long periods of time

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of 6S principles
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to read and understand complex job specifications
